December/January Members of the Month!
Posted by:WNxSwitchBlade

First off, I want to apologize to those who were nominated in December. Due to the structure change, we weren't entirely sure on who would be posting these. We now have a set rotation so you should see these being posted on time from here on out.

Once again, sorry for the inconvenience, but those who were nominated have not been forgotten!

Member of the Month awards are given to members for being honored, recognized, and appreciated for serving WN and making it the best it can be.

OGame - WNx Apollo

In a section that has been a bit inactive lately, one person really stands out, and that has been WNxApollo. He has been very active on Leo (Our newest server), and has even created a "Forum Game" thread that has had 90+ Replies and over 400 views. Now if you ask me, that's a huge boost to the views OGame has had in quite a while all because of one action pack topic! I think he will excel in Warrior Nation. This is why he is deserving of the MoTM.

Call of Duty: United Offensive - WNxStaffy

Ever since i had a serious word with him he has turned around big time, he is polite to all members/leadership and he is turning into a great member like when he first joined the Nation. Always wanting to scrim, attending all events, he has even started a 1 vs 1 tourny. I could see him being a Captain yet again in the UO section. He has really caught my eye in the last month and he fully deserves to be Member of the Month.

Call of Duty 2 - WNxNeliel

WNxNeliel is a very good example for every single member in our section, he is very active on xfire and teamspeak and we can always count on him when needed. Neliel is one of our many members who is very active in-game too. Neliel has played 31 hours the past 7 days, which is very good for a member. The Call of Duty 2 (EU) leadership is proud to have this guy with us and we hope to show him how much we appreciate his help. Neliel is one of the guys who got a great future within the clan and we hope to have the privilege to have him as a member for our section for a long time.

C&C Renegade - WNxAppolo13

Appolo has only been a member for a couple of months but has shown great activity and enthusiasm in the time he has been here already. He can be found ingame on a daily basis and when he's not showing off his skill ingame he is either helping out people or contributing on the forum. It's always fun to play a good old match with Appolo, this man knows his teamwork. He's exactly what we are looking for in the Renegade section: kind, friendly and active members with a great attitude! The Renegade section is very happy to have him onboard and I am positive we will see great things from this person!

December 2011 Members of the Month

Ikariam.org - WNxLjgmf

Lj is one of the members you would be pleased to have in any secton. Her mature and calm nature, combined with a great sense of humour makes her a very special person. Besides her great in-game activity she started being more involved on the forums, actively participating in our events and actually kicking ass there. Recently she also put a lot of effort into recruiting and brought us a good number of people that let the sections rollcall numbers shine even more. You can always visit her in her own Ventrilo, she offered us to use as well. All in all a very well deserved member of the Month.

Call of Duty 4 - WNxMERO

Tom is the guy, who you will be pleased to meet. He is one of the best players in Call of Duty4 section - he know all the tactics, spots for nades or wallbangs. And for sure he is active in forum too. Tom even helped newbies here to learn how to play COD. That was bit unexpected. But all in all, he deserves MotM award for sure.

WC3: The Frozen Throne - WNxbLakezkie

WNxBlakezkie has been nothing more than an dedicated member to our clan and section. He is a great inspiration to a lot of members here and takes his work seriously but in the name of fun. His help towards recruiting, setting up contests, giving out helpful reminders/tips, having a high level of activity, and being there when you most need it, are just some of the many traits and accomplishments he has. Without Blakezkie around I don't think Warcraft III would be what it is today. You say the word and he is there for you any time! For these reasons alone, I am very pleased to nominate blake for all of his hard work and efforts, they defiantly do not go unnoticed.

Call of Duty 2 - WNxSniiper

WNxSniiper has been the most active member in our section on the forum and ingame as well. Everything he does is to help the section and with that, the clan. He recruited many new members and even did a little more during the WN Recruiting Contest, he has his own ClanBase clan and already played 6 matches on it. He had some setbacks in the past, but whatever happened, he just came back and sometimes even better than before. He listens to what the officers tell him, even if it was to tell him what he did wrong and (with this feedback) tried to improve himself in any way he could to become an even better member for the section. He takes time after time the initiative of starting up wars and is a great guy to talk with for fun. His dedication towards the section and the clan is a great example for other members and he truly deserves this medal. We hope that we can show our gratitude for his actions by nominating him for being Member of the Month of the Call of Duty 2 (EU) section in december!

Delta Challenge Dates
Starts: Wednesday, February 1st, 2012
Ends: Wednesday, February 29th, 2012

Welcome to a Delta Challenge named Get That Achievement!. Let me start off with the basics for those who have never heard of Delta Challenges. Delta covers the console genre so alternatively I could call this a Console Challenge. Each section will have the check-list posted on their forums. The idea is that all of the other sections are your enemies and your mission is to win the challenge for your section. This is not a PS3 vs. Xbox, this is all sections fighting each other. Also the Console sections in Development are included in this challenge. Even though this announcement is posted on 31st January, you may start submitting your point requests in the 1st February. Below you will get to know what to do and how to submit point requests.

What’s the challenge?
In this challenge your mission is to get as many achievements as possible during the time this challenge lasts. It’s simple as that. Below is a checklist of all the available achievements and you just need to complete them to get a point. After the time is up, the section with the most achievements completed will win the challenge, but, that is not the only way to win, alternatively the section that completes all of the challenges the fastest will win. But I doubt any section will win that way. :P Every time an achievement is completed and request submitted and hopefully approved, it will be crossed out to mark that it’s been completed.

Checklist
  • Recon Operations Department [0/8]
    • Get a recruit (Welcome thread for the recruit and the recruit must have the Newbie tag taken off)
    • Get 5 recruits (Welcome threads and must have the Newbie tags taken off)
    • Get 10 recruits (Welcome threads and must have the Newbie tags taken off)
    • Have a new recruit join a game night
    • Have one recruit get 20 posts
    • Have 5 recruits get 20 posts each
    • Have one recruit get 50 posts
    • Award a Top Recruiter
  • Battle Operations Department [0/8]
    • Run a gamenight
    • Run a gamenight with at least 9 members attending
    • Start a tournament/end a tournament during the challenge
    • Use the Smacktorium at least three times (matches must be completed)
    • Run a forum competition
    • Have a Game Battles match
    • Have a Game Battles team with at least 6 members
    • Have 7 Consecutive gamenights with a notification thread for it being put up 24 hours in advance
  • Random and Lucky [0/15]
    • Have a birthday hero and make him a birthday thread
    • Have Thread of the Day running for one full week
    • Max out one side with WNxers
    • Completely own the opposing team
    • Get your Major to laugh so hard he wets himself
    • Someone from the section got Platinum Trophy/all Achievements in the primary game
    • Write a story about your section (Must contain at least 100 words and include 5 section members in it)
    • Make a graphical comic out of your section (you can draw it on a PC software or by hand on a paper)
    • One of your members got interviewed by an Interviewer
    • One of your members got promoted above sectional ranks during the challenge
    • Have a 10:1 Kill/Death Ratio in Halo or 20:1 KDR in CoDs/BFs in one match
    • Have a member from another participating section in console come primary in your section during the challenge
    • Complete 2 achievements from the list within 24 hours
    • Troll WNxRev till he goes nuts and changes your forum skin to pink (No flaming/breaking rule 6, just bugging)
    • Congratulate WNxDeadpool on his birthday and spam admins to congratulate him in your thread (simply, make him a birthday thread even though he isn't part of the section and bug admins to come and post to the thread, the section with most admin responses wins the point, each admin able to response in one thread only, the first one to ask someone will get him post)

Total: 0 out of 31 achievements completed

Submit your point requests
In order to submit points, you must use a form that is created just for this challenge. However, we don't include the link to the form in this announcement to better prevent that no others than Majors and Captains from Console sections submit point requests. All of the Majors and Captains are being mass-PM'd the link today when I announce this challenge. Make sure to use the form, we from Delta will not be looking for submissions from this thread nor from PMs, only the form submissions will do. Only Major and Captains are allowed to submit point requests. A section is allowed to only complete each achievement once.

Evidence must be good enough so we from Delta can be sure it’s completed, pictures, links to threads and profiles.. anything that proves you really completed it.

Tie breaker
We have planned a tie breaker game if it is needed, however it is not revealed in this thread either, if there happens to be a tie between how many sections ever, the leaderships will be contacted with the info of the game!

Prizes
Probably the most exciting part of the thread :D So here is the prizes for top 3 sections of this challenge. Good luck everyone with the challenge and may the best section win!

FPS Genre Report January 12
Posted by:WNxAwp666

WNxSwitchBlade:
Welcome to the FPS Genre Report! We'll be doing this every month to give provide the Nation with an overview on what is happening in the world of our FPS sections! We hope you guys will enjoy reading this as much as we enjoy writing this.

January is the first full month in which this new Genre system has been in place. So far, we've been off to a busy start. As you will read later in the report, we are glad that currently there are no FPS sections on the brink of being cut from WN. Overall, our numbers are steady and we hope to see an increase in the coming months. It's no surprise that FPS has taken a hit over the last year, but with our team in place now under this new structure, I am positive that we will see new FPS sections come into WN very soon.

I want to give a shout-out to the Call of Duty 2 section. They are currently the largest FPS section and also rank amongst the largest sections in WN. I am very proud to see that such an old game is still kicking it strong here in WN. They should be an icon section for everyone along with CnC Renegade. They prove that no matter how old a game is, it can still make it in WN if the effort is put into it. So congrats on your success guys! I hope it stays this way for a very long time.

I also want to give a shout-out to the Call of Duty: UO section. They are approaching 30 signed primaries, and for a section that has been in and out of Recon this last year, it is great to see them holding steady. The leadership team has done an amazing job there. I'm proud of them all and I am sure that they will continue to develop into a strong and healthy section!

WNxmadglide:
What a way to start in a brand new year in FPS Recon. With me stepping in the footsteps of my previous boss WNxPhoenix I immediately looked for new people to push around. We have chosen two more minions to work with the team's veteran WNxmike90t09. We have been struggling to find Recon Black Ops for FPS for some time now and we're very happy to see the team is full. Section wise we are doing fine. We currently have 8 sections in the genre and surprisingly none of them need active recon support at this moment. We don't think we will see a game falling in recon soon and that's something new.

Recon has a lot of potential for those who want to familiarize them self with the workloads and the processes in a section. Its a job that requires a lot of dedication but also give a lot of satisfaction once you see your work has paid off. With Development bringing in new games in the near future we will open up more spots for the FPS team. If you feel that you got what it takes to become a Recon Black Ops feel free to apply.

The numbers of all the sections can be considered stable, some sections really had to push hard to reach their goals and some are still struggling to get better numbers. I'm sure with the right people in the right place all the section will do just fine. Our presence in the sections will remain strong and we're hoping to see a same result next month. Enjoy reading this first issue of the FPS Genre Report

WNxAwp666:
Well It has been a slow month in Battle Ops this month. I am currently looking for more staff so I can fill the last available spot and finally have a full team. Besides that I have been brainstorming new ideas for the FPS Challenge that is coming up in a few months.

Click the image to open in full size.
WNxPhoenix:
My, what a busy start to the year FPS Development is having! We currently have a whopping SIX sections in Development and plans for some serious expanding for our genre in the form of new sections. We currently have a list going that at last count stood at about 20 games we could potentially look at bringing into WN. I don't like looking at it now because it's just insane. So we're not going to be short of games and potential sections for quite some time round my neck of the woods, that's for sure!

On that note, if you're an FPS gamer who wants to get involved with building our genre's future then I do have both Engineer and Miner spots open. I'm looking for the most enthusiastic and friendly faces to bring into the team to work with the rest of us in bringing in some new games. The rank information is below and if Development sounds like something you'd be interested in then send me an application!

Sections wise, we're doing quite well at the moment. Like the rest of WN we have had some drops in numbers but I'm very optimistic that we're going to see growth from now on. We're also hopeful that the next month or two will see some of our sections be released from Development which will be great news for them and for the genre as a whole! All of our sections have great people in them and I don't know about everyone else, but I'm looking forwards to the day I can boot them out of Development... the good way!

Star Wars: Battlefront II is the most recent addition to FPS development and they joined us at the end of 2011. Already they have a couple of servers and are ready and raring to go! Fingers crossed that all goes well for this little section!

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 has definitely proved to be FPS's Development section of the month! January rollcall puts them at 34 primaries, a whopping 18 more than last month. Who knows, next month we might be releasing the first new FPS section of 2012 ;]!

Battlefield 3 PC has been beset by a few difficulties lately. Both the EU and NA sections have suffered a slight member drop this month. The next month will see the focus being placed on recruiting and activity boosting to improve things. Hopefully we will have good news on these sections next month!

Blacklight: Retribution have, unfortunately, seen rather a large drop in numbers this month. The section members are waiting for the next beta phase and a much anticipated content update. We are confident that once these two things happen the section will flourish once again!

Warhammer 40k: Space Marine have held steady this month which is great news. There have been a good number of recruits and our goal now is to see a big push to boost activity and get the numbers to hold above 25.

To next month....

  • 1 Section Entered Development
    • Star Wars: Battlefront II
      • Primary Count - 8
  • 5 Sections Remain in Development
    • Battlefront 3 (EU)
      • Primary Count - 23
    • Battlefront 3 (NA)
      • Primary Count - 19
    • Blacklight: Retribution
      • Primary Count - 15
    • Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3
      • Primary Count - 34
    • Warhammer 40k: Space Marine
      • Primary Count - 24

Quex, the guy who has been the most active guy for a year now, he helped the section from becoming totally inactive multiple times, he recruited a lot of new guys and has been a great help on almost all areas within the section. His dedication is just way higher than everyone else I know and this together with his activity on the forum, on TeamSpeak, ingame and on xfire and his gaming skills make him the perfect example of the best member of our beloved clan. As my fellow officer he does the best he can and tries to help me everywhere. I supported this guy ever since I know him and I will keep doing this. I see him like my own brother and love him equally. I hope this nomination tells him enough how much we need him! <3

Congratulations to everyone who won an award. I apologize that some of you don't actually get anything for winning an award But it is nice to be noticed. An extra big congratulations to CJL9788 who took away two awards!
