The WN GES section in PC Gamer!
That's right folks, the April edition of the magazine PC Gamer had our very own clan mentioned inside! To thank for this we have the Goldeneye Source section, whose servers are adjudged to be the very best in the game (mostly thanks to our server operator WNxBadPlayer - mucho thanks!). Our servers are the most populated in the game, and in particular our Chicago-based server - which was the one mentioned in the magazine.

If you want to pick up the magazine, it should be on sale right now:

And we're mentioned on Page 12, check it out below:

Being mentioned as the oldest clan in the game in a massive magazine like PC Gamer is nothing short of a massive achievement for the clan. I want to thank everyone in the Goldeneye Source section for making us not only the oldest, but the best clan in the game! Well done everyone!

The Nation - February 2010

Letter from the Editors
Again, we faced some issues on getting these into the editors in a timely fashion. It's an ongoing issue we are still looking to resolve, but as always better late than never. We also had the added complication of loosing an editor, setting our work back a bit. However, we had extra help and were able to edit together The Nation in its brand new format! We hope that you enjoy this fresh new look which will hopefully inspire renewed interest, and increased readership!

*Please note that this issue says March because of its released month. This will be fixed in the next issue!

Medals - Febuary 2010

Medal of Valor

Those that display a profound talent and positive attitude in combat. This medal recognizes those members who have excelled beyond the range of ordinary proficiency and who have used their abilities to better themselves and others.

WNxGStenroos is an outstanding member of Warrior Nation. He has held offices including Military Police of Company and Captain of Field Operations in the Call of Duty 4 (Xbox 360) section where his work was greatly appreciated. He currently hold the title of Captain of Field Operations in the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (Xbox 360) section.

His contributions to the section have already been felt, whether it is calming a bit of a heated debate, or offering ideas and services to the clan. His in game activity has also been amazing. As a third prestige gamer already, he is clearly devoted to the game and plays it often.

From my experiences with him in game, his skills are amazing, his tactics well executed, and his attitude impeccable. He is always willing to jump into a game with his fellow clan mates, and does well to aid when he can. His skills are admirable, and he is always willing to answer a question, and chip in a few jokes as well.

He is certainly excelling beyond the normal scope of our members, and always performs his duties (whether on the boards, or in game) with the best of attitudes and willingness and to help wherever he can. He does his best to impart his knowledge, whether he would like to admit he has it or not, to whoever seeks it. WNxGstenroos has clearly, in my mind, done more than enough to deserve this award, and will continue to earn it for the rest of his time as a member of this clan.

Medal of Declaration

Awarded to Majors, Grand Masters, Captains and Honor Guards. These members have surpassed many levels within leadership of their sections.

Im nominating WNxSol1ce because he have shown a lot of great work, he is at least for 4 months in the leadership of the WN CoD 2 section. He have done that job without making any mistakes. He have show is activity, creativity and communication powers each day. You can ask him all what you want, and he will give a Great answer on that.

Me and Wicked decided that it was time to give him his medal for the great work he has done in WN. I think the clan can only dream about this kind of members.

Quote:
WNxWicked:
Sol1ce has been in WNx for over a year now and he was very active and loyal from the very beginning, he got rewarded for his hard work with positions within the section. Sol1ce continued his work as the FO and recently he got promoted to Major, he does a great job with the section, helping poeple in the forums and on our own server. He is constantly trying to improve our section and with the current RC numbers we can see he does a great job.
Quote:
WNxThorsTer:
Well what can be said about Sol1ce lol. He is an awesome member because he cares about the section and wants it at its best and he has proved it several times. When he was FO he did a lot of event and gave all his ideas he had which were helpful ideas. He just doesn't stop working even though lets not forget he is a scholar which makes his work twice as hard, but he manages both jobs Mjr and Scholar. For me thats something really impressive and inspiring. He really is a talented member and has a great future as a leader. I know hes going to keep up the great work!
Quote:
WNxKrakkie:
Sol1ce is one of the best guys in Warrior Nation who I know. SinceI joined WNx he always helped me when it needed and he also play cod2 on a good skill level.
He makes a lot of useful things for WNx from managing our public server to organaising scrims, recruiting and all important stuff.
But the best thing is that when he become a Major the things went a lot better in the section. You may compare the results before Sol1ce and after Sol1ce become a Major. Its a huge work complited by this real man !
I really respect him and his decisions because its most of the time good for the section. I'll support him anyway in 90 % of disputes. Sol1ce = The Best Major ever !!!
Quote:
WNxMadglide:
Solice is a great asset to the nation. He proved himself officer worthy many times. Since he got the position of Field Ops Captain he did nothing else than put himself on the last place to make the section a better place. He voluntered for the position of Battle Ops Captain and he managed to keep the section active due to organizing events and such. Not long after that he climbed up to Field Ops Captain once again to help the Major out in any way possible. Solice lead the section, infact he did everything what a Major should do and even more. He was helpfull to all members. Recently he got promoted to Major, in my eyes a well deserved promotion. He finally has the tag for the work he did. Solice is an outstanding leader and Im glad to work with him as fellow officer.

Medal of Communication

Those that have reached a high level of communication by having a strong presence, positive influence, strive to educate and motivate to improve and participate within Warrior Nation.

WNxPinkshadow also known as 'pinky' is such a member which makes WN a better place..
Since Im FO captain Pinky has always been helpfull to the section, even before I was a ranked officer she did outstanding work to make the section (cod4) a better place. She is active as hell and if you ask her something she is there for you, never in a bad mood and always willing to help, Wheter its an Officer or just a normal member.

She is special;

-Always willing to help others
-Always eager to give her opinion to topics, wheter its negative or positive..
-Doing an outstanding work with the 'thinkin' with a topic, like we want to do something she always helps and give it positive influence
-keeping her mind clear, she never choose a side and keeps calm.
-educating me and others about things we didn't know about the clan, wheter its a system, or some things on the forum to moderate it or something.

WNxPinkshadow is such a member who makes WarriorNation a better place to be, and such people should be awarded.

Medal of Resolution

Awarded in spirit of good communication by way of clan reporting. Combat Journalists spend lots of time and energy gathering details and bringing the clan information from within many games. This member has gone above what most would expect and deserve this Medal of Resolution to recognize them.

This exceptionally loyal person who is getting the Medal of Resolution today, has been in the Historian position longer then any of the Scholars at the moment, clocking close to one and a half years as a historian, which included a short-lived break some months ago, The person I'm talking about is WNxMirager, updating the histories in RTS for a long time. When he has done something, I get a Xfire message or my profile is being spammed. If I check it up, it's done nice and fast and almost never any problem. A member being this dedicated to the job and being so helpful to other members should definitely deserve the Medal of Resolution, for his hard work.

Medal of Creativity

Any member that shown outstanding creativity skills specific to WN in addition to continued honorable and mature behavior. A member who has gone above and beyond in the creative aspects to better WN as a whole either by visual or creative communication. One must stand out above everyone else during a specific month.

During his five-month stint as SWAT Head, this member showed great skill and talent in design. He came in, took charge, and furthered progress and a variety of projects including SWAT CMS. Since he stepped down as SWAT Head, he remains a SWAT member and continues to exhibit all the qualities of a creative designer, and continues to contribute to the best of his ability. WNxRevoluti0n has certainly earned this award, and continues to earn it through his creative efforts.

Sorry for the mess
It looks like one of the super moderators (specifically, a GM) didn't know what they were doing and because of a problem with permissions, accidentally moved every thread on the forum into a nice tidy little subforum.

I've figured out an automated way to recover a pretty healthy amount of them up to a certain date, but I don't think I can go any farther -- new sections, I'm sorry but you likely only have your stickies left.

If you're able to read the OC, please see here: http://warriornation.net/Forum/showthread.php?t=568907

Someone that can read the OC can move them back to where they belong, the hardest part is identifying them.
