How do you disable router interface access?
I'm on an IT basic course and I've run into something I just don't quite understand. Even my teacher couldn't say either.

I've found the IP of our standard gateway/router using ipconfig /all in cmd. When trying to enter it's interface on a browser it doesn't show anything, it just says "No data received". Now I know that as a regular student, who doesn't have administrative rights, I shouldn't be able to edit the settings of our router, but I just thought "Maybe I can read the status without the router requiring a password", but nope - it doesn't even ask for a password or show anything besides the "no data received". How is that possible? I have internet access and I double-checked the IP.
