! ! ! Emergency ! ! !
!!!
Randomly out of the blue, my D:\, where I install all of my games has become corrupted somehow, I only recently reformatted this, and have downloaded very little.
When I try open D:\, it just says

D:\ is inaccessible

The file or directory is corrupted and unreadable.

Seriously guys, this is sucking some serious monkey nuts, please help ASAP =/

1. Dont use the important tag since your problem is common and its not needed

2. Your hard drive is failing so you might need to buy a new one

You might have a boot sector error. Try rebooting to command prompt and with the Windows CD in the drive, type in fixmbr d:

if that doesnt work, try to save as much as you can or use system restore.

Its not a boot sector problem or else he would have boot up problems after or during installation of windows

overall have to be the drive failing if its giving you recording problems. How long u had the drive?

Well, somehow restarting my computer 2-3 times seemed to fix it somehow- I figured it wouldn't work after the first but my mate told me to do it another few times- but I'm still weirded out as to how restarting fixed it and how the problem occured in the first place.
The drive itself I got from using Partition Magic on my C:\ to make it 2 drives right after I reformatted my computer, but I got a professional to do it for me.
My friend things that maybe partition bombed out on itself maybe?

Well the problem can be fixed if you get a successful bootup to windows

its a sign that you might have to clear the boot record and if that dont work, then your hard drive is failing.

So you will probably get the same problem

So is this problem resolved?
