How's the new game?
My fucking downstairs neighbour thought it was funny to try and tap my internet connection with a splitter while i was gone for a few days.

Now i need to wait for my ISP company to pull a freaking new connection wire to repair the damages since nothing works for me at the moment (tv/internet/phone)

So i won't be playing for a week or 2-3 untill this has been resolved.

Summarised:
  • Hitreg is fixed, bullets hit a lot easier now. Everyone dies REALLY fast now as well.
  • Due to higher HP cap, low HP/speed build is no longer viable (150 HP = 9,4 speed)
  • Everyone has high HP builds now (240 HP = about 8+ speed)
  • AR is nerfed
  • Burst Rifle is totally OP now, can kill enemies in one or two bursts.
So basically everyone moves (a lot) slower, but dies faster due to hitreg.
There is hardly any "run around your enemy and dodge bullets" anymore.
There's also a hitsound now for whenever you get hit, or when you hit an enemy.
(hitsound is loud and annoying, especially when you get sprayed in a HS)

Edit:
We also have Spectator Mode now.
It wasn't in the patch notes though, as it wasn't supposed to be released yet

Edit2:
Patching took me 2 hours.
There's also an inventory cap of 500 items now, and EVERY data node counts.
So you will be fusing nodes for an hour or so to get under 500 items (my inventory was 600/500).

Hearing that i guess i finally get to dust of my perm BR (when my connection is fixed).
And possibly by the time im playing the nerfed that one to or made some speed/hp fixes.

I guess the 1hit days of INC BARs is over unless they buffed it's damage.

Hows that new HAR?

HAR is bad.
But haven't tested it, as it's in a ZEN "chance pack".
Zero has it though.
It'll be available for GP in a week or two.

Maaaaybe you can 1 hit with BAR + damage node + INC + mods that add damage.
(yes mods can add damage again)
But not worth it I reckon.
Most people tend to "spray", as most bullets do around 50 damage, so 3~5 hits = dead.

Any other questions?
I've only played 1h~ but I'll try to answer.

Thanks for that, nice to have a LE weapon tag, even if it's kind of useless.

Finally got my internet back and managed to play a few games, jeez things have changed around a bit. Speed builds are mainly suicide now >_<..

I think they masked no reg with reduced spread/recoil, since i did get a few no reg shots yesterday (ALOT less then before the patch).

I guess Burst Rifles are the flavor of the month seeing everyone uses it at the moment since its overpowered with a damage build, specced mine for low spread and damage and destroy everyone in 1-2 bursts .

Still not sure how to put my equipment, sofar tried vanilla 200 and 250 (it's good vs all the inc sniper kiddies these days as they dropped the GP price apparently).
Any gear tips?.. not interested in wasting 3-4k gp till i find something suitable like before

Well, I've only been playing a little recently - mainly due to the lag issues.

What you notice as no reg shots are actually the fault of the lag. The Devs have said that the problem is that the latest patch, for whatever reason, makes the servers max out in terms of cpu usage and consequently aren't able to handle the game. Which makes us lag.

To summarise: server has bad fps, consequently we get lag

You can get around this by playing DMs since they're limited to 8 players. The lower player count means the servers aren't stuggling so much. With a 16player match most people's pings sit around 200ms. Go to a DM and they'll drop to 60ms or so. Also, playing containment (and to an extent vortex) will raise the pings, up the lag.

Aside from that, I've been running a 172hp build with a br built for damage and tight aim accuracy. I've stomped every room I've played in but that's mainly the other players to attribute this to. Since it only takes two well-aimed shots to down any player with br (one if you hit the head) and you can spray it silly, I only ever seem to take one hit before they die. Which means I sit at half hp for ages.

Can't wait for them to over-buff speed builds when trying to balance it out again but at the moment I'm only using it in mock protest - you are seriously disadvantaged by it. That said, I like the higher hp cap, it gives much more diversity with the builds. There is actually a difference in the number of hits you can take.

Adding damage back to gun parts is good too, though I don't understand what they were thinking with the long barrels. My Briar TDF is one of the most useless things you'll ever see now.

As for recommended builds? I have none, you should simply horde gp now until the rebalances start to normalise. If they don't do any major rebalances hereout then I'm not too sure I'll keep playing it. I imagine the armour pieces won't change much any more, relative to one another, other than the penultimate body armour when it gets unique stats again. I figure a good speed or tank build now will remain a good one later relative to others, though how they balance the speed to hp builds now will be interesting.

(Did you know the highest speed you can get with armour alone is 9.5 now? I assume they've worked it so that you have to use speed modded weapons to hit the 10 mark now)

Might be more difficult to pull off now (sounds like it, I have not yet tried the game since the update)

In comparison, it feels like hitboxes are 4x as large.
That's how easy it feels to hit someone at the moment.
I suggest the 222 HP build.

Decent speedbuild puts your health near 170, which is practically a 1shot from an enemy burstrifle.
So you could play with a speedbuild vs noobz, but if your up against highlevel players which don't have half-assed aim your going to lose out.

If they want to balance speed vs hp.
tank build should have 275-300hp at minimum (~7) run
speed build should have 200-225 hp at maximum run (~9.5)

Penultimate Solution for HP/Speed Whining:

Addendum Idea in fixing HP/SPEED.
HP/Speed items are the same, they should implement an armor mitigation (not just the headshot mitigation).

e.g.
All items give same hp and they only buff
HRV
Stamina
Speed
Protection (damage mitigation)
etc.
so you can still pick for best looks and secondary stats.

lets say (as a basic example):
Mary has 250hp (8 speed, 15% armor mitigation)
Jane has 250hp (9 speed, 5% armor mitigation)

M. a bit slower and takes less damage from shots then J.
J. a bit faster and takes only a little bit less damage from shots then M.
