How do we work?

Being 3 of us for now, gives us the chance to agree by majority as to management of the account and handling of creative content (such as deciding what soundtrack to use, recording dates, timelining, wether or not to publish a video on the wnx video library if there are issues with content and/or quality, etc).

However, we should establish a set of rules for the videos to have a set style of work; of course, we have 2 implicit for now: 1 is that, whatever we do should create, is posted on the wnxbsgo youtube channel, and 2 is that, we agree to share the recorded unedited content.

I propose we also, publish the finished videos on the wnx video library so we get some more viewings, and also, post them on a separate thread on the bgo channel.

We also have to agree on something separate: Should the videos we make here, be published in our personal channels, as a duplicate on youtube? in other words: Should the person who edited the video, make it part of his/hers personal portfolio?

And one more idea: We could, to attract attention to the wing for recruits, create a fb profile just for the videos and creative content (such as the articles Creased writes); getting some of the publications linked on the BSGO facebook profile.

Any more ideas for the GCF?

Not really much Burning; only advice i could give to the video editing for bgo, is to speed up the takes (the game, while you're playing, seems fast, but the action is fairly slow for a video), and to be careful with the color balance.

Oh, I ask of you something extremely essential; sound effects! i didn't put any on the "mushroom vision" video and i think that's the only missing thing. How (or more like, where) can we create a sound effect bank appropiate for the game?

We need explosions (4 kinds; strikes, escorts, lines, and nukes), machine guns (3), missile jets (3), cannons (2), and metal/metal impacts, engine humms (6), and long "rocket jets" for boost sfx.

Why not use the game ones? well, one of the first things i actually complained about the game was the annoying sfx they use; and on a video we could use better ones.

I was thinking the shortys on a strike should sound like a vulcan cannons at full burst, and, when close to a line ships, add a power drill on the background as well. While the long range ones could sound like M2 machine guns. Could be a nice experiment but i haven't tried it since i haven't found a decent sfx bank yet.

I feel the director will most likely be the editor so they should be able to double post. One to BGO youtube and to thier own. As far as a sound bank, the sounds would have to be put to a video in order to load up on youtube and the file named as per effect

Agree with KonX on that. I propose that, if we can't agree on a soundtrack, we make different versions and see which one sticks (maybe polling on the main forum ala contest?)

I am working on getting you guys an "editors lounge" set up.
