Video Editing i7 build
So with graduation drawing near and the prospect of having to make my own short films I've been looking at setting myself up with a system that doesn't yell at me whenever I try to render something in After Effects.

I selected these parts on so changes are it's overpriced but at present stands at Ł1,136.00 (inc VAT)

Processor: i7-3820 (3.6GHz) 10MB Cache
MBoard: Asus P9X79 Pro
RAM: 8GB Samsung Dual-DDR3 (1333 MHz) and 8GB of G.Skill also 1333 coming over from my current system.

HDD: 80GB SSD Intel 320 Series and 2 1TB HDD's coming over from old system.

PSU: CORSAIR 850W Enthusiast Series TX850 V2-80 Plus

Cooling: Can't decide between liquid cooling and the TITAN FENRIR EVO

Any Suggestions? Preferably those that make it a little cheaper but still good for video editing.

The video card seems unnecessarily powerful for a video editing rig (but mad props as a gaming piece). If you don't plan on gaming that much on this computer, get something cheaper like a nice 450/550. I would stick with Nvidia, though, as Adobe products see huge performance gains using CUDA. (In fact, if your money could swing it, getting a Quadro would boost your performance quite amazingly.)

Yes the high end video card isn't needed but if needed for gaming thats good to go.

Your main focus is the CPU and ram which you nailed very well. The new CPU is a bit pricey right now and will stay that way for awhile
